37116 passes the site of Carnaby station on 21 October 2024 with the 3J51 09:50 York Thrall Europa to York Thrall Europa Rail Head Treatment Train. 37175 is bringing up the rear. The station closed in 1970, but as can be seen here, both platforms are still in situ, and the buildings still survive. Although only a small wayside station, there were plans for this to be the junction for the Bridlington and North Frodingham Light Railway, which was authorised in 1898. However, this line was never built, probably the right decision as the traffic would have been extremely light.
