37174 Little Bedwyn 26 March 1999

37174 passes Little Bedwyn on 26 March 1999 with the 09:57 West Drayton to West Drayton (via Westbury) crew training run. This train only operated for a short period, and I only managed to get a couple of pictures, both of which were in poor light. This one is by far the worst, as the sun went behind a cloud just as the train approached, but the sun was still out in the background. The original 35mm slide looks terrible, but some Photoshop work has at least evened up the exposure, which was worth doing as this is an unrepeatable scene. Not only are the loco and vacuum braked wagons history, but the viewpoint has totally disappeared, as the neat little beech hedge next to the line in this picture is now so high that it totally blocks out the view.
