There is evidence of a severe trackside fire at Swanley on 12 August 1995, as 37201 Saint Margaret & 47805 speed through the station with the 1M79 13:48 Ramsgate to Birmingham New Street InterCity service. The classic traction was specially arranged by Rail Magazine, hence the 'Rail Ramsgate Day Out' headboard. It is not only the passengers who are enjoying the day out, as the Class 37 has five people in the cab!
