I don't often bother to photograph light engines, but made an exception here to show off the lead locomotive's unusual livery. 37203 & 37255 head east at Severn Tunnel Junction on 5 June 1989. 37203 is carrying a sort of 'halfway house' large logo livery, with the aforementioned large logo and numbers, but without the wrap around yellow front end, black bonnet tops and grey roof normally associated with that livery. Note the 'classic' British Rail Leyland lorry employed in rebuilding work on the site of the former Severn Tunnel depot. |
