37214 & 37178 run alongside the M40 motorway at Rowington on 28 July 1992 with the 6M79 15:08 Eastleigh to Crewe Basford Hall MoD stores train. Although nowadays the prospect of a pair of 37s on any freight train would warrant a picture, regardless of the weather, in 1992 I probably wouldn't have made the round trip of nearly 100 miles in these conditions. It so happened, that on this occasion I was on the way home from a trip to the north west, where I had ironically also photographed a lengthy MoD train.
