37219 very slowly approaches Didcot North Junction on 23 April 1997, running wrong line after recovering wagons from an earlier minor derailment at Appleford (just around the corner in the distance). The light was terrible, so it was lucky that the driver seemed to be matching his speed to the two track workers in the foreground, presumably so that he could hold a conversation with them en-route! This was very fortunate, as I had to resort to a shutter speed of only 1/60sec with the lens wide open on Fujichrome 100. |
