With trains from Gotherington getting very backlit in the afternoon of 11 July 2010, during the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's Diesel Gala, a slight variation of viewpoint was required, especially when the subject was 37248 in its dark and drab maroon livery. So, a picture from the top of the cutting at Dixton, through a convenient gap in the trees provides an excellent viewpoint as the loco heads east with the 14:05 Gotherington to Toddington service. This view shows off the former West Coast Railways livery, Westie logo, and the position of the former Loch Arkaig nameplate. |
