37254 & 37197 make a noisy ascent of the incline heading out of the Severn Tunnel, as they approach Pilning on 2 October 1996 with the 7C40 12:06 Newport Alexandra Dock Junction to Exeter departmental working. Despite the lack of a pavement on this side of the bridge, and the heavy road traffic, this was an excellent photographic spot, now alas lost under a sea of 25kV wires.
