During 1997 the Tuesdays only 6L20 05:00 Cardiff Tidal to Purfleet steel train brought the welcome sight of a pair of Class 37s to the Great Western Mainline. Although early enough in the morning to be photographed before going to work, unfortunately because of the time of day it was virtually impossible to get a decent angle for the light. The sun is still (just!) on the north side of the line here as 37263 & 37254 growl their way past Bourton on 8 July 1997 with Swindon just visible in the haze in the background. |
