37272 & 37032 pass through Moreton-in-Marsh with the Growler Group's 1Z17 05:20 Manchester to Southampton 'Solent Growler' railtour on 13 April 1991. This tour did not go according to plan, as there was a mix up as to which section of the Southampton dock lines the tour was going to traverse. In addition a planned photo stop at Southampton was missed out. All was still going well at Moreton-in-Marsh however, and even the sun was weakly trying to break through the clouds. The lead loco here was the second machine to carry the number 37272. Its original TOPS number was 37304, but between 1987 and 1994 it was numbered 37272, before then becoming 37334. The original 37272 was converted into a Class 37/4 and numbered 37431 in 1986. Note the Parker Knoll van parked in the old station goods yard, presumably from the nearby furniture factory at Chipping Norton, which closed in 2004.
