A dull and misty morning at Uffington on 8 July 1992 sees 37280 & 37072 heading eastwards with the late running 6A15 23:55 Waterston to Colnbrook aviation fuel tanks. It looks like the concrete signal troughing is about to get replaced. I'm not sure why, as this wasn't one of the locations where they used plastic topped troughs, which naturally became brittle and disintegrated when rail workers walked on them! |
