Work stained 37300 & 37278 growl past Circourt Bridge, Denchworth on 27 October 1982 with the 6V11 09:30 Wolverton to Stoke Gifford ARC stone empties. This train would loose its booked Class 37 haulage in favour of a single Class 56 shortly after this picture was taken. The two locos pictured would go on to have remarkably different lives in the future. Whilst 37278 would soldier on until 1992 as a standard loco, 37300 would be fitted with ETS, and have a second life as a (mainly) passenger loco as 37429.
