37372 heads north though Appleford station on 13 April 2002 with a lengthy ballast train. This loco suffered a very unusual fate after being withdrawn in 2004. It was selected to be used as the bodyshell for the Class 23 'Baby Deltic' recreation project, which would entail a reduction in the length of the loco's nose, amongst other modifications.
