In a very lucky bit of sunshine, 37411 passes the site of Cefn Onn station with the 2F22 11:14 Rhymney to Cardiff on 17 September 2005. Cefn Onn station was a very remote spot prior to the building of the nearby M4 motorway and ubiquitous housing development. Situated in a deep cutting near the entrance to Caerphilly Tunnel, and only accessible by foot, patronage was low, and consequently it closed in 1986, although a new park and ride type station opened just to the south to serve the new housing estates.
