A train that ceased to be loco hauled with the start of the summer 1998 timetable was the 1M15 16:10 Cardiff to Birmingham New Street and 1V19 19:40 return South Wales & West services. On the final day (17 May 1998), 37411 Ty Hafan is pictured passing Defford with 1M15. This of course was back in the days when EWS locomotives were kept reasonably clean!
