On 20 May 2006, the rain had just stopped when 37411 Caerphilly Castle skirted the Dovey Estuary at Penhelig with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z48 06:41 Sheffield to Pwllheli 'Snowdonian' railtour. However, it was still a typical dreary Welsh day - note the heavy cloud looming over the mountains in the background! During the long wait for the railtour to return from Pwllheli, the opportunity was taken to visit a slightly smaller railway, with a trip on the 2' 3" gauge Talyllyn  Railway.
