Running two hours late, 37504 British Steel Corby passes Alstone on 4 August 1990 with the 6V67 23:50 Tees Yard to Cardiff Tidal steel. The shiny rails on the right indicate that the loop was still in use, which had involved passing over the remnants of two single slips. All this trackwork has now been removed, although the loop on the other side still remains in use.
