37696 passes through the centre road of Oxford station on 5 May 1987 with the 6M17 13:14 Didcot to Washwood Heath coal empties, one of the dedicated Speedlink Coal Network workings, servicing the rapidly shrinking domestic house coal market. This was taken during my lunch break, when I had driven from Witney to Oxford, especially to buy an all line timetable!
