Making its preservation debut at the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway's Diesel Gala Weekend on 20 June 1992, 402 arrives at Kingswear station with the 10:20 service from Paignton. The loco had be withdrawn from mainline use the previous September, and was immediately purchased by the Devon Diesel Society.
