A few minutes of brilliant lighting conditions during an otherwise cloudy day luckily corresponded with 43002 Top of the Pops leading the 1A44 10:15 Bristol Temple Meads to Paddington service past Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, on 25 November 1993. This was running approximately 15 minutes late, which was very fortunate, as at the booked time the scene looked nothing like this! The dark clouds in the background certainly make the picture, but note that the hedges and trees in the distance are in the shade, emphasising how brief this superb lighting was.
