The horse in the field at Bourton has been startled by the blast from 43003 Isambard Kingdom Brunel's horn, as it warns track workers of its approach with the 1B48 15:15 Paddington to Cardiff Central First Great Western service on 20 April 2015. Over the previous weekend the track on the up line was renewed and lowered, in preparation for the forthcoming electrification. Isambard Kingdom Brunel is an appropriate name for a loco passing this location, but I wonder what the great man would have made of his line's transformation into an electric railway.
