A pair of classic 1970s designs at Challow on 30 July 2014. 43003 Isambard Kingdom Brunel speeds westwards with the 1C17 14:00 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads First Great Western service, while 56113 waits on the relief line with the 6V62 11:22 Tilbury Riverside to Llanwern steel empties. For some reason the driver of 56113 had stopped his train well back from the signal, rather than in the usual spot in the foreground of this picture. This did however enable this passing shot, which would have been impossible otherwise.
