43003 Isambard Kingdom Brunel has just passed through Patchway station (just visible in the background), and is picking up speed after coming round the curve between Stoke Gifford and Patchway Junctions. The date is 21 July 2012, and the train is the 1B10 07:45 Paddington to Swansea First Great Western service. Note how the track is starting to split here, with the down line maintaining a higher level towards Patchway Tunnels. Also note the industrial units squeezed between the road and the railway, and the chimney on the Rolls Royce Aerospace site.
