43003 passes Shrivenham on 10 December 1987 with the 1C47 13:30 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads service. Around this time it was quite common to see sets of blue and grey coaches working with the then new InterCity executive liveried power cars, and vice versa, but it was less common to see mixed liveries within the coaches.
