43003 rounds the sharp curve at South Brent on 1 May 1994 with the 1C46 13:35 Paddington to Plymouth service. On the right is the trackbed of the former Kingsbridge branch. This closed on 9 September 1963, although because the local bus company's replacement timetable didn't come into force for another week, passenger services on the line had a week's reprieve!
