In superb winter afternoon light, and with the steam from the gas fired Didcot B Power Station almost emulating the output from the now demolished coal fired Didcot A, 43004 passes Steventon on 5 January 2017 with the 1B37 13:15 Paddington to Cardiff Central GWR service. This was one of the last mast free areas of the Great Western Mainline, but the much delayed electfrication finally caught up with even this location a few weeks later.
