The view from the newly opened footbridge at Uffington on 11 April 2017. 43004 heads towards London with the 1L36 08:31 Cheltenham Spa to Paddington GWR service. In all the years that I have been photographing trains at the former footpath crossing, and from the field on the left, I cannot remember anyone else using the footpath. It was slightly ironic then that on my first visit to this new footbridge, a woman walking her dog used it. It seems that the bridge wasn't built just for me after all!
