43030 runs alongside the Kennet & Avon Canal at Froxfield on 20 June 1984 with the 1A65 06:00 Plymouth to Paddington service. The Yellow Water Lilies add interest to the picture, although they have slightly got in the way of a perfect reflection of the train. At this time the canal had not yet been reopened for navigation, so there was no danger of a passing boat getting in the way of the picture at the critical moment!
