As the milepost in the foreground indicates, there is just half a mile to go before the train joins the Chiltern Line. The urban sprawl of Bicester dominates the background. Bicester has recently been given the status of a so called 'Garden Town'. This is a totally meaningless marketing ploy, presumably designed to shift attention away from all the housing and industrial development that is swamping it. It's just a name, there is no difference to any other town that is being encircled by development, usually against the resident's wishes.
