The closure of the Severn Tunnel for engineering works resulted in trains from Wales travelling via Gloucester, doubling the number of HSTs traversing the Gloucester to Swindon Line. Major embankment strengthening works are taking place here, with work compounds on either side of the bridge. The spire of Kemble church can just be seen in the distance.
