43035 makes a smoky departure from Oxford station on Saturday 5 November 1988 with the late running 1A18 07:07 Hereford to Paddington InterCity service. For odd some reason, this train was branded as the 'Cathedrals Express' during the week, but not on a Saturday. As the HST obviously never carried a headboard, it was irrelevant anyway! The only subtle difference was that on a Saturday it called at Reading, instead of being non-stop to London after the Oxford stop.
