Before the Great Western Mainline electfrication, and the advent of the Network Rail compound, there used to be a good view from the north side of the line at Ashbury Crossing, Shrivenham, on summer evenings. 43036 is pictured heading west on 23 June 1995 with the 1B62 18:30 Paddington to Swansea service.
