43037 accelerates away from Swindon, and passes Highworth Junction on 28 April 1999 with the 1A07 06:05 Bristol Temple Meads to Paddington First Great Western service. I sometimes went to this location before going to work in order to photograph the Longbridge to Swindon Rover car panel empties entering the nearby works. Unfortunately on this occasion I didn't get that picture, as when it did arrive, it stopped in the far distance and didn't move for over an hour. As by 1999 the train was Class 66 hauled, it wasn't such a disaster! |
