43041 City of Discovery passes through Mortimer station on 28 June 1998 with the 1O11 09:14 Edinburgh to Bournemouth 'Dorset Scot'. The station building is the most complete surviving example of one of Brunel's brick built Italianate style small stations, and is naturally Grade II listed.
