Looking immaculate in its recently applied InterCity Swallow livery, 43049 Neville Hill passes Hinksey on 19 January 2022 with the 5Z33 08:12 Crewe to Eastleigh Arlington ECS. I had intended to go to the footbridge further to the north, but as I approached the area I noticed that this was running 71 minutes early, and was already at Wolvercote Junction. The A423 Oxford ring road bridge was nearer, but I needn't have bothered rushing, as it was held at Oxford until very nearly the right time! 43047, still in East Midlands Railway livery, is on the rear, with its engine shut down.
