The Rail Charter Services HST made its public debut in 12 July 2021, when the repainted five coach set worked the 5Z64 13:37 Eastleigh Arlington to Crewe ECS, in preparation for the start of the Settle & Carlisle 'Staycation Express' special trains. It is pictured here passing one of the steel piles of the abandoned Oxford electfrication project at Culham, with 43058 leading, and 43059 bringing up the rear. I was extremely fortunate with the sun here, as there were lots of clouds all around, and just one field away the whole area was under a huge mass of dark clouds.
