An unexpected, but very welcome use for a pair of redundant HST power cars. In late 2020 Colas acquired a pair of former East Midlands power cars for use with their test train contract. 43060 & 43050 have initially just acquired Colas Rail stickers. The new order is pictured at Bretforton on 4 November 2020, with the pair's first foray down the Cotswold Line - the 1Z22 08:20 Tyseley to Bristol High Level Siding Network Rail test train, with 43060 leading, and 43050 at the rear. This was running 45 minutes late.
