43064 approaches Wellingborough on 19 July 2002 with the 1B15 07:32 Sheffield to St Pancras Midland Mainline service. Although the sides look reasonably clean, the front end exhibits the typically filthy condition that Midland Mainline HSTs seemed to always be in at this time (at least whenever I went out to photograph them!). Very little evidence remains of the once extensive sidings at this location, certainly compared with the view in 1985, when I photographed 43056 at the same spot. Coincidentally, I also saw 43056 on this occasion, but heading in the opposite direction.
