This is something you don't see every day! The driver of 43066, working the 1C42 17:23 Sheffield to St Pancras service, has stopped at Clay Cross on 9 April 1992, and is now shouting at a group of trespassing teenagers, telling them in no uncertain terms to get off the line! Obviously previous trains had noted the trespassers, allowing the HST to approach cautiously and stop, but I have never seen another instance of a train stopping on the mainline and the driver clearing people off the track! |
