Signs of impending electrification at Uffington on 23 September 2016. 43069 passes a couple of mast bases, as it speeds eastwards with the 1A09 07:12 Taunton to Paddington GWR service. The erection of the masts on this section of line is extremely erratic. They have been in position up to the nearby roadbridge for several months, but nothing has happened here (luckily) for ages! The termination board was apparently somewhat redundant, as westbound trains were passing at full line speed.
