Their final journey! Former East Midlands Trains 43075 & 43061 head for oblivion, as they are towed to the breaker's yard by 57312 on 27 October 2021. The train is the 5Q76 11:30 Long Marston to Newport Docks (Sims Group), pictured here in suitably gloomy weather passing Sheenhill Crossing, Honeybourne. These are the first two complete and undamaged HST power cars to be scrapped, the previous four scrapped examples (43011, 43019, 43140 & 43173) all having been involved in accidents.
