43075 Peascliffe Tunnel 14 June 1986

In 2016 it was the Great Western Mainline that was being steadily desecrated in the name of progress, as the electrification marched westwards. However, thirty years earlier the same fate was befalling the East Coast Mainline. The posts are in place on the approach to Peascliffe Tunnel (near Grantham) on 14 June 1986, as 43075 heads northwards with the 15:30 Kings Cross to Newcastle InterCity service.
