43080 passes Defford with the 14:40 Newquay to Leeds 'InterCity Holidaymaker' on 21 July 1990. It was one of those balmy summer evenings where the sun just fades out into hazy high cloud and as can be seen here at only 19:10 there is only a hint of shadows remaining. This is the first picture I took of this particular power car, not having seen it prior to it having buffers fitted.
