43081 basks in the evening sunshine at Long Marston on 22 August 2021. The former East Midlands Trains loco has been donated by Porterbrook to the Crewe Heritage Centre. It may not have been the reason for its selection, but it has a minor claim to fame in being the 8000th loco to be built at the former Crewe Works. Note the Chiltern Railways Mk3 coaches in the background, and the new building taking place at what is now a very important and busy railway site.
