My reason for visiting the Cornbury Park bridge just to the south of Charlbury on 26 March 2018, was to photograph the 1P31 12:09 Hereford to Paddington HST. However, it became clear that it was going to be totally cloudy by the time that came, despite there being hardy a cloud in the sky when I set off for the short 12 mile trip! So, by way of consolation, here is 43086 bringing up the rear of the 1W25 12:21 Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill GWR service. At least the approaching dark clouds make a striking contrast with the sunlit foreground.
