During the latter half of April 2013, Network Rail carried out major engineering work between Taunton and Castle Cary, which resulting in certain trains from the West Country being diverted via Bristol. Here we see 43092 leading the 1Z30 05:40 Plymouth to Paddington First Great Western service past Compton Beauchamp on 30 April 2013. Although it looks no different from the usual trains on the Swindon to Didcot line, this one has in fact come the long way round. It would normally run as the 1A75 via Westbury. |
