A golden autumn afternoon at Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, on 19 November 2013. 43098 speeds westwards with the 1B40 13:45 Paddington to Swansea First Great Western service. Just visible by the seventh coach is the recently installed foot crossing. What a waste of money, as with the electfrication of the route a few years later it was replaced by a footbridge! The little used footpath had always existed, but with nothing other than a sign to indicates its location.
