43120 leads the 1S20 11:00 Kings Cross to Aberdeen 'Northern Lights' GNER service past Burn on 8 June 1997. The GNER franchise was only just over a year old at this time, and while the company had made good progress repainting its HST power cars into their new stylish dark blue livery, as can be seen here, it was less well advanced with coach repainting.
