A location familiar to generations of Oxford rail enthusiasts. By the 1990s the north end of platform 1 at Oxford station was dominated by this huge signal array. Buffer fitted 43123 arrives at the station on 4 October 1999 with the 1O06 06:17 Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth Virgin CrossCountry service. Oxford shed (81F) used to be situated on the other side of the main line, in the area behind the other signal visible in the background.
