43126 passes Wantage Road on 13 July 2016 with the 1C10 10:30 Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads GWR service. This picture is taken from the newly opened A338 roadbridge. Whilst it was always possible to take pictures from the old bridge, situated a few yards to the west, it was certainly not advisable, as it is a very busy road, and there was nowhere to stand out of the traffic. The new bridge is much better, with plenty of room to stand clear of the traffic. Unfortunately the benefit will soon be lost, as the Great Western Mainline electrification proceeds. However, as with several other bridges, there are temporarily less masts near the bridge during the construction phase, allowing for this reasonably uncluttered picture.
